Speaker Bio Sandra Kay Morris
Sandra Kay Morris brings an empowering message to caregivers.
Her down to earth how-to strategies for thriving as a family caregiver come with a wry sense of humor and compassionate understanding.
She knows self-awareness is a key ingredient for caregivers to enjoy a high quality lifestyle. With insight and enthusiasm she not only gives them permission to think of themselves, but shows them the vital necessity of doing so. With her story-telling she shows you the frailty, humor and resiliency of the human condition. As a listener you begin to understand that you are not alone. Then she provides concrete tools that, when applied to daily life, can change a day from dreary to delightful.
Sandra Kay brings years of caregiving perspective to her audiences with a natural talent for storytelling that is entertaining and inspirational. A published author, her book; A Journey in Care Giving and How to Enjoy It, is slightly bio-graphical. She considers herself a perpetual care giver; a mother, daughter and previously an Adult Family Home provider for nine years. Her passion for speaking came early when she performed a dramatic reading, winning a Beauty Pageant at the tender age of 17! Her passion continued with a spell as a popular Radio Host and News Broadcaster. Today she continues to hone her speaking skills with Toastmasters International, as an MC and public speaker.
A mother of two Sandra Kay lives in Issaquah near her very independent 86 year old mother and works at the Issaquah Senior Center.
